The National Consumer Panel focuses on measuring consumer attitudes and behavior. As a panel member, they will provide you with a hand-held scanner. Every time you or members of your household shop, you'll use the scanner to scan the barcodes on all of your purchases. Then, once a week, you'll send them your purchase information. As a reward for doing so, you'll earn gift points that are redeemable for name-brand merchandise, including electronics equipment, jewelry, household items, toys, and more!

The National Consumer Panel consists of people from all demographic and geographic areas of the United States. By scanning the barcodes on their purchases and completing surveys, panelists' consumer voices make an impact in the marketplace. NCP is an operational joint venture between the two leading consumer insights providers in the United States - The Nielsen Company and SymphonyIRI Group.
Become a MemberIf you'd like to become a member of the National Consumer Panel, please complete our online registration (Only one member per household.) Once we receive your household information, you will be placed on a Reserve Status Waiting List. Households are then randomly selected to join the panel. This ensures that the panel truly reflects the country's diverse population. Thanks for your interest.
